Biesse Group consolidates Russian subsidiary and appoints new general director

Biesse Group has appointed Matteo Vaglica as general director of its Moscow subsidiary, indicating its belief in the region’s potential.

Mr Vaglica has a wealth of experience in a number of leading positions in the industrial sector in Russia. Following higher education in Economics, Vaglica moved to Moscow in 2009, leading the market for a major international ceramics group. He has held several senior management positions within the engineering and industrial sectors and is adept at navigating the economic and cultural peculiarities of the country.

He said, “I’m delighted to be joining a Group which is pursuing a number of major investment programmes in this area.”

Despite the recent uncertainty in Russia, Biesse has also decided to commit to the region with the consolidation of its new subsidiary in Moscow. A recruitment plan which is set to be rolled out in the short to medium term.

“It is my belief that this is exactly the right path to take, in order to exploit the full potential of a market like this one, which has so much to offer,” said Mr Vaglica.

“We are in no doubt of the fact that Matteo is best suited for this role. He is capable of uniting the Group’s international trade policy and achieving full customer satisfaction. The newly-established Biesse Group Russia subsidiary in Moscow is fully operational and set to move into a new and larger space in the first quarter of 2017.
