BEX and MCE Asia 2017 will help plot the future of sustainable building in Asia

Build Eco Xpo (BEX) Asia, the leading trade exhibition in Southeast Asia (SEA) for the green building market, will be immersing attendees in three days of knowledge building, information sharing, and dialogue regarding the latest in green building and energy-efficient technologies, from the 12th to the 14th of September.

Co-located with Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) Asia, the regional leading trade show for energy-efficient solutions that power industrial, commercial, and residential buildings, the two shows will boast some 450 international solution providers that will come together to display their latest innovations and technologies to fuel green building and sustainable development amongst Asia’s building developers, engineers, and architects.

“BEX and MCE Asia are the ideal platforms to galvanise the Asian green building, HVAC-R, water, energy and heating communities into action towards sustainable development,” Mr Tai Lee Siang, Chair of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) Board of Directors, said. “Though green building adoption is accelerating in Asia, the rate of change is not fast enough as the average green building penetration rate is only ten per cent. The green building industry, governments, and consumers need to join hands to tackle the problem of climate change quickly and decisively.”

Smart and intelligent systems will take centrestage during the trade show, with solutions ranging from Internet of Things (IoT) to autonomous sensors as well as applications and software, which include Creston Singapore’s Creston Fusion™, an intelligent energy management solution that provides data analytics and centralised environmental controls; and En-trak Hong Kong’s En-trak energy, which enables companies to leverage on real-time data to save costs and improve energy efficiency; among many others.

Bex Asia will also be concentrating on green building materials, the subject at the very heart of sustainable buildings, which have great potential to bring down the wastage of natural resources. Products that will be on show at the exhibition include PAREX GROUP’s eco-friendly tile adhesives, as well as Innovative Precast Builders’ patented interlocking precise block system that minimises wastage, among others.

In addition, BEX and MCE Asia will both host a series of complementary seminars, Green View and Mostra Xchange, which will bring more than 40 expert speakers together. Industry professionals can also look forward to gaining up to 11 professional development units (PDUs) over the 3-day-bonanza, and visitors can expect to get in-depth understandings of the various issues relevant to the industries concentrated on in the seminars.

At the Green View seminars, speakers from organisations such as Bokalis International (the Netherlands), CPG Consultants (Singapore), and Frasers Property (Australia), among others, will explore the latest emerging trends for building developers, managers, and owners.

Similarly, the seminars at Mostra Xchange will feature international experts and solution providers.

BEX Asia will be located at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre from the 12th to the 14th of September 2017, during the Singapore Green Building Week (SGBW) 2017. The event is expected to draw in more than 11,500 visitors from more than 55 countries, including end-users, green building experts, industry professionals, and policymakers.
