Asia wood exports up in February

Exports from Asia have started to recover. Malaysia’s overall exports could recover by as much as 6 per cent in 2017 compared to the 1.1 per cent growth seen in 2016, according to RHB Research estimates.

Malaysia’s export growth in February was the strongest recorded in almost seven years. February exports was buoyed by growth in shipments to China, ASEAN member countries, the EU and US. However exports to Japan slowed in the first two months of 2017.
