The American Hardwood Export Council will be bringing together leaders from the US hardwood industry and major buyers from European markets to discuss and debate the challenges and opportunities both industries face.
Under the theme “Driving change in European hardwood markets” AHEC will be holding its European Hardwood Conference in Copenhagen at the Marriott Hotel from 20 – 21 October. The conference will focus on: new market opportunities for hardwood, the issues that drive change and, how effective marketing and promotion can deliver results.
As traditional markets and uses of hardwood in Europe shrinks, there are new opportunities to position this valuable material as a high performance, sustainable solution within the built environment. By taking up these challenges, hardwood industries can win back market share from non-wood materials. Discussions will take place with a line-up of expert speakers with plenty of opportunities for participation and networking.
