Siempelkamp has concluded a sale with GIM Export Group on a second MDF line for the Turkish wood-based panel producer AGT, located in Antalya.

The new plant includes the delivery, installation and commissioning supervision of the dry fibre and energy plant by Siempelkamp’s subsidiary Büttner. The scope of supply includes a 7’ x 55.3m ContiRoll® of Generation 9 with a light-board package and a forming and press line as well as a glue kitchen, which also involves the Ecoresinator.

This results in significant glue savings, a new Siempelkamp standard. It also includes the new Eco-Sifter, the 12th one sold around the world. The cooling and stacking system and a masterboard sanding and cut-to-size line are also supplied by Siempelkamp. The new plant will also be equipped with the energy efficient Servomotor ContiRoll EcoDrive, a light-board package for the production of L-MDF and the innovative process control engineering ProdIQ ® next.

Sicoplan will be responsible for the engineering; Büttner will engineer the drier with a performance of 45t/h atro. The drier’s heating is delivered by flue gas; the exhaust gases of both local gas turbines and additionally through a Büttner line burner.

Siempelkamp’s Head of Sales Ulrich Kaiser said, “We at Siempelkamp are proud to support AGT as a business partner and look forward to the joint entrepreneurial future.”

The new line makes use of Siempelkamp’s expertise in resource efficiency. The new project also represents another collaboration between Siempelkamp and the GIM Export Group. In the past 24 years, 25 ContiRolls® have been ordered for Turkey. In addition to financing, GIM Export Group’s core business includes project handling, after-sales-service, spare parts supply and the delivery of raw and additional material.
