5G Cross, a new installation technology by Välinge Innovation, will be showcased at the upcoming DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR from 26-28 Jul 2023.
This new installation method aims to eliminate the inconvenience of flooring panels shifting when installing them in rectangle or square patterns.
According to Laetitia Kimblad, director floor locking at Välinge, there is a “unique 5G Cross component that allows for installations in rectangle or square patterns without the risk of the panels moving and shifting”.
This idea came about when Välinge wanted to make straight-set floor installations easy and more accessible for everybody, both professionals and DIYers.
“We also wanted to create an opportunity for flooring producers to use new materials and smarter solutions that can be easily adapted to the demands and wishes of the future,” said Kimblad.
The 5G is designed to be compatible with all types of flooring materials, and also compatible with other products from the 5G portfolio.
Kimblad mentioned that to further enhance the floor’s durability and longevity, 5G Cross should be combined with their waterproof installation system, 5G Dry.
Välinge will be displaying this technology at their booth 5.2C10 at DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR.
