Dieffenbacher India announces new MD

Dieffenbacher India

Dieffenbacher India welcomes Sachin Pendharkar as new director with effect from Nov 15, 2017. He also takes over Ravichandra Tavag who retired on Dec 31.

Mr Pendharkar has experience in other sectors of the Indian wood industry and last served another German machinery manufacturer.

Tavag has served the company for more than 10 years. He established Dieffenbacher India in Bengaluru in 2007, enabling the Dieffenbacher Group to make remarkable strides in the Indian panel board industry.

During his tenure, Greenply Industries purchased India’s first ever CPS continuous press in 2008, doubling MDF production in India. Other key transactions included Associate Décor’s (formerly Star Panel) purchase of India’s first CPS continuous press for particleboard and Rushil Décor order of an MDF line in Chikmagalur in 2010. More recently, Greenply again placed a repeat order for a 1,300 m³ per day MDF plant in Srikalahasti in 2015. Currently under construction, the plant will include Asia’s longest press.
